This is not an original idea, I've personally seen it before many a time. And yet, this is shounen animé the way it was meant to be. Although this is not an original genre, I'm happy to see it thus succed in Love Hina.

As the name implies, this animé is basically relationship play between Keitaro and Narusegawa, with several interesting characters thrown into the mix. Although some elements of the animé are rip-offs from other series, the animé
"Come fight me for Naru, Keitaro!!!"
as a whole works, put simply.

Love Hina has clearly drawn images, and animation that will rival all animé series save for parts of Fooly Cooly. Although I was personally distracted by the lack of a nose on many occasions, I will not count that against it. Nor will I say that I was a huge fan of the music. It was fairly good at best, but it did sync well with the presented scene, thus an above average scoring.

Character development in this animé was almost flawless, one could easily follow the developing relationship of the two main characters. Even secondary characters came with no lack of explanation or character expansion. This is a memorable cast you will love.

Which brings us to the final aspect and the one pitfall of Love Hina, its plot. Although Character development is a large part of how I rate plot, so is filler, and there is no scarcity. of either. One may feel dejected by the sheer mass of filler, but rest assured, even those episodes provide countless (20) minutes of hilarity.

Love Hina is the zenith of the genre and is not to be overlooked. Watch it, you'll be happy you did.
