I had great expectation for an expansion upon Love Hina, and I must say that I was not dissapointed.
The 3 OAV series does well to retain the playful humor of the series while simultaneously adding a new character with her own plot twists and story. Yet, there was much room for improvement within
the animé.
I cannot change the score for animation or music, because both remained basically constant with the rest of the series. Images are crisp and music,

although not entirely enjoyable to me, fits well within the scenes. I must say that for an OAV the animation could have been better and more volumetric, but relatively to other OAV's, it is still near the top.
Now we come to the two most questionable aspects of Love Hina Again, the plot and the Character Development. In terms of plot, I believe that the OAV did an outstanding job in incorporating a new character
while still retaining the old humor. The story moves along smoothly, but unfortunately reaches an abrupt ending in the third episode. Character development is another story, as almost anyone would tell you. Although
the story 'seemingly' progresses, the characters basically return to the same state they were in at the end of the Specials. There is no progression of relationship, and their climactic confession of love had already
taken place at the end of the series, and the two specials.
With premise one could go either way. On one hand, you have the wonderful background of the series itself (which I hope you have watched before watching this), and on
the other hand you have the just slightly above-par explanation of Kanako. Being a kind person, I will give them the benefit of my doubt and say that there was not enough room to waste time on premise. All in all, it was a great OAV
series that could have been made better by adding-on an episode or two. If you have seen Love Hina, you will enjoy this. If not, then watch Love Hina.
