You know, I wanted to like this animé. I liked the idea, I liked the character design, I liked many of the story aspects. But in the end, I was dissappointed by how bad this animé truly is. I know it has a huge fan base, but I wont be corrupted; the truth is, it was just too short and too rushed to be of any good. Firstly, I love the genre, but I have seen it done better too many times before. Secondly, its impossible to develop an intriquite plot like this animé required in 5 episodes; but enough of me, onto the review.
"Why aren't we on the net."

I will start by justifying the extremely low grades that I gave the animé in Plot and Character Development. The series is 5 episodes long, and 2 out of 5 of the episodes are purely filler and in no way progress the story...at all. Although the 2 mentioned episodes did introduce Skuld and Urd, there are many ways that introduction could have been improved and incorporated into the actual plot, not to mention that filler episodes in short OAV based animés are QUALITY SUICIDE. Even when characters are introduced, their motivations and past remain intrinsic and hidded. I just do not understand their actions, a problem that could have been alleviated with one simple act...make the animé longer. If they had developed this show into a 13 OAV such as Tenchi Muyo!, the quality and room for development would have improved exponentially.

The music and animation are both decent for the time, but nothing too great to talk about. Although some of the artwork is magnificent, there is still room for improvement throughout most of the animé. As for music, it is catchy and interesting, but again, nothing special.

This animé would have real potential if expanded, but as it is Ah! My Goddess is just too short, underdeveloped, and forced.
