As you may notice, this animé is made by Kodansha, and thus is in theme with other Kodansha produced animés such as Ah! My Goddess. In fact, its striking resemblance surprised even me. Based off one of the most populat late 80's mangas, 3x3 Eyes suffers from its brevity as well as from its lack of corresponding themes.

In terms of plot, I sincerely enjoyed 3x3 Eyes. The two main plot lines, the search for the Ningen No Zou and the difficulties of a Wu/Sanjiyan relationship, are
"I don't know where the helicopter's from"
both portrayed fairly well (although the latter is best explained in the sequel). The only difficulty I have with the plot is its abruptly forced ending which seems to just cut-off the animé at its greatest climax. Character Development is a bit different. The main characters proceed well, both Pai and Yamuko seen to change in their beliefs and views from beggining to end. The others, well lets just say they got shafted. Whenever you thought they would do something important to the plot, the scene would change. I'm fact, one of them could die and you probably wouldn't notice.

I will be brief will music and animation. Both are decent, but neither are excellent. For an OAV based series, I was expecting much more from the graphic quality, especially the character design. Music is great, but not perfect, and occasionally doesn't fit the scene, or is not present at all.

One of the animé's fortés is its completely believable introduction and background information. One can sympathize with the animé purely on a personal level if one has experianced certain features presented. All around, this is a decent animé and is worth watching, unless there's something better on that is.
